I agree with you. It's bad when more often than not you have to bite your tonuge when you are on the course instead of enjoying your day.

The proper thing to do would have been to allow you you play though. Golf is a game of etiquette. The problem is some people have none and don't know how to use it. It's kind of like someone dropping the flag on the green. 1. it makes noise 2. it bruises the green. 3. it can cause a gully in the green. It's easy just hold on to the flag and lower it to the ground. I hate people who think the world owe's them the right of way on the course.

I agree. The only time I think the situation was acceptable would be if there was a group of players in front of them that was slowing up the course up. I have ran into that a couple of times and you just have to go with the flow but there is only so much you can do. It does get very aggravating.

When did golf etiquette go by the way side? I played (alone) Sunday afternoon, on the back nine I played behind a group of 3 that were just a bit higher handicap than my already high one. Anyway, after each hole they were either just teeing off or just finishing teeing off as I came up to the tee. Then I would have to wait as two of the 3 would take there time the whole rest of the hole. Not once did they ask if I wanted to play along or play through.

Just aggrevates me to no end. I was taught a long time ago to let faster players through....

What say you?

I havn't been around much or played either since a week before the flood. The local course (Smyrna) has parts still under water.

Man has it been this long since I was on here? Sorry folks I have been really busy working. i did get in 18 holes this weekend. The wind was a killer. Hit the straightest drive of my life only to have the wind stop it in mid air. It only went about 100 yards and the wind killed it. But it was nice being on the links.

Here is a GREAT DEAL for US. Deer Creek in Crossville is now charging $20 for 18 holes with cart 7 days a week. The fairways are great and the greens even better. The grass is green and wonderful. I played there last weekend and had a great time. And for $20 it's a real deal. For what some of you pay in the Nashville area you could use that for gas and still play 18 holes.

Played Indian Hills on Wednesday and found out I have a lot of rust to knock off, geez. They have already gone to there summer rates. Ready to get a real 18 holes in soon. Brian I know Indian Hills allows Membership and not sure about Champions Run but I wanna say yes.

Played Smyrna last two weds but this last wed played Cedar Crest. Most courses here need lots of greening brfore real stroke reduction gets better. Just working on routine and knocking the rust off the swing for now. and the most importaint part of having fun with friends on pretty weather days

Actually, this was taken at Machrihanish Dunes. An amazing walk over 7 miles from start to finish over some beautiful sand dunes. Great day out with the flight over from Glasgow. Some great scenery on the way.
